Gen AI Retreat 2026

Ram Ramamoorthy and Rim Rubavicius, together with colleagues from the University of Edinburgh, participated in the retreat by AI Hub in Generative Models that brought AI researchers across the UK to share their ideas, challenges and perspectives on how generative models can be used to advance research in areas like drug discovery, creative arts, and robotics.
As part of the meeting, Ram Ramamoorthy delivered a keynote on the challenges and opportunities of AI for embodied assistive systems, in which a variety of past and current projects were brought together to shape the vision of the science of assistance. Additionally, Rim Rubavicius presented the recent work in the centre focusing on understanding human actions in the physical world using executable models.
