ROSCon UK 2025 Comes to Edinburgh

Leading robotics conference set to be hosted in Informatics

Edinburgh – 4th July 2025

We’re thrilled to announce that ROSCon UK 2025 will be hosted at the University of Edinburgh’s Informatics Forum from 15-17 September. This national conference is a key event for developers working with the Robot Operating System (ROS), offering three days of technical talks, hands-on tutorials, workshops, and community networking.

As a Centre dedicated to human-centred autonomy, we’re especially excited to welcome this important gathering to Edinburgh. ROSCon UK provides a valuable platform for sharing knowledge, discovering new tools, and connecting with others applying ROS to real-world challenges – from assistive care and surgical robotics to autonomous mobility.

The event is open to participants of all backgrounds and experience levels and strongly encourages attendance from under-represented groups in robotics and AI. It promises to be an inspiring and inclusive space for learning, collaboration, and innovation.

We’re also proud to share that Dr. Alejandro Bordallo, Senior Research Engineer at the Centre for AI in Assistive Autonomy, is playing a leading role in organising this year’s conference.

“ROSCon UK is more than a technical conference—it’s a space where the robotics community comes together to share ideas, build connections, and shape the future of autonomy. Hosting it in Edinburgh is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the UK’s leadership in human-centred robotics.” –  Dr. Alejandro Bordallo, Senior Research Engineer, Centre for AI in Assistive Autonomy

We look forward to welcoming the UK ROS community to Edinburgh this September!
