Bonan Zhao received her PhD in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh and was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University.

Bonan studies the computational processes that underpin human cognition, with a focus on concept learning, decision making, teaching, and communication. She combines computational methods like probabilistic modelling and reinforcement learning, and behavioral experiments, to study how people acquire, represent, and share knowledge.
